Your Apple Health information

Periodt uses the Apple Health information you choose to share to show your cycle history and calculate estimates. This includes menstrual flow, symptoms and sexual activity. If you separately enable these connections, it also reads available workouts, steps, sleep and weight to display alongside your history. Periodt writes the period, symptom and sexual-activity entries you choose to log to Apple Health. Workout, step, sleep and weight access is read-only.

Your cycle records are stored in Apple Health. Periodt does not operate a separate server database of these records or require an account. Normal cycle-tracking use does not send those records to Fitmarket servers or advertising services. The app calculates cycle estimates on your device. Display preferences and article preferences are stored locally. Your Apple Health and device-backup settings are managed through Apple's services and device controls.

Optional iPhone widgets

If you enable a Home Screen countdown, Periodt stores a limited display snapshot locally on the iPhone. It can include an estimated next-period date, cycle length, current cycle day and ring colors. It does not include your raw period, symptom or sexual-activity logs. The snapshot is stored using device-only Keychain protection and is not synchronized through iCloud Keychain.

Widgets can show information outside the app lock. Choose discreet appearance to hide personal cycle details, or disable the widget display in Periodt's settings. Display snapshots expire after 24 hours and require the iPhone app to refresh; system scheduling and connectivity can delay updates.

Optional Apple Watch sharing

Apple Watch sharing is off until you enable it separately. When enabled, Periodt sends a limited read-only cycle snapshot to your paired Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity service. The snapshot can include its generation time, your estimated next-period date, cycle length, current cycle day and ring colors. Raw Health records, symptoms and sexual-activity logs are not transferred.

The Watch stores the snapshot locally using device-only Keychain protection; it does not query Apple Health or send this snapshot to a Fitmarket server. Watch displays and complications may be visible outside the iPhone app lock. Discreet appearance removes personal cycle details from the shared snapshot. You can disable Watch sharing in Periodt's settings. Updates follow connectivity and system scheduling, and snapshots expire after 24 hours.

App lock and your controls

The optional app lock uses Face ID or your device passcode through Apple's authentication system. Periodt does not receive or store your biometric data or device passcode. The app lock protects entry to the iPhone app; it does not hide separately enabled widgets or Watch displays.

You control Health permissions in Apple's Health and device settings and can manage or delete Health records there. Notification permissions and timing are optional. You can turn off widget and Watch sharing within Periodt. Disabling sharing or changing records may take time to reach a paired Watch; snapshot expiration limits how long old information is displayed.

Estimates and educational information

Period and fertility dates are estimates based on available history. Periodt is for tracking and education; it is not a contraceptive or a substitute for medical advice.
